If we’re not careful, much of our messaging and ministry focus in the foster care, adoption, and family support space can be geared towards the “middle” of a multi-generational demographic of people (let’s generalize and say it’s the young adult to the family stage of life). But what about the spaces of people on the outer edges of the demographic paradigm within most churches—students on one end and seniors on the other? How can we engage and utilize the unique gifts they have to offer in serving kids and supporting families?
